Module: Budget

With Budget, you can set a budget on your projects, either in hours or money.

You can then track the budget with: Budget Status


Go to the project you want a budget to be set.

Once in the screen of that project, click the top-right menu Customize

Locate Budget


And drag it to your screen. You should see the module below:


No budget

By default the project is set with No budget In that case, the budget for this project will not be monitored.

Budget in hours

Click the select box labelled No budget and choose Budget in hours.

The module changes to something like:


Set the initial budget

In the first field set the number of hours for the budget:


You can add the reference of a purchase order if it applies.

Add budget extensions

If during the project, the budget is extended, you can add another budget line in the module. Click Add another budget and fill the hours and an other PO:


The total of both budgets appears in the top (3,700 hours)

To delete a budget click the red Delete box of the corresponding line.


Budget in amount

Click the select box labelled No budget or Budget in hours, and choose Budget in amount

The module changes to something like:

The currency is set by default to the currency of the company owning the project, or the company you work for. In the case here: USD.
You can change the currency for the project.


A note if you use multiple currencies:

    • All the currencies provided in BeeBole get a daily exchange rate.

    • All the amount(billing and costs) are stored in local amounts.

    • In Reports and Approval, the amounts are consolidated to the currency of the user viewing the report

Add budget extensions

If during the project, the budget is extended, you can add another budget line in the module. Click Add another budget and fill the new amount and an other PO:


The total of both budgets appears in the top ($ 21,000)

To delete a budget click the red Delete box of the corresponding line.


Budget with subprojects

If you have divided your project in various subprojects, you can set the budget in hours or amount for each subproject separately.

In hours:

Or in amount:


If you extend a budget for a subproject, you need to change the value of the existing budget, or add a new sub project for this extension.
